He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Akey and Avis Loveless Akey; his siblings, Wayne, Raymond, Marie, Catherine and Bonnie; and his brother-in-law Mert.
He is survived by: his wife Sherin Akey of Mayfield; and his close friend Ricky Koval of Mayfield. He is also survived by Several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
