It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin F. Brightman of Mayville, New York, born in Corry, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Seth Brightman and Florence Colburn Brightman; and his wife Jean Mertons Brightman. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Fardink (Stephen) of Ashville, NY, Nanci Raven (Fred) of Ridgeland, SC, Kenneth Brightman of Jamestown, NY, Richard Brightman (Anna) of Midland, MI, Jeffrey Brightman (Vicki) of Riverside, CA and Timothy Brightman (Sally) of Ripley, NY; and his grandsons, Kenneth Brightman, Jr. and Steven Fardink Jr.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lake Chautauqua VFW Post 8647 in lieu of flowers.
