He was predeceased by : his mother Joanne M. Howe Peterson. He is survived by : his son Brian A. Peterson (Kiara Whaley); his father Bruce, Sr. of McDonough; his sisters, Lisa Busby (Gary) of Clayton and Lenora Farrow (Willy) of McDonough; and his nieces and nephews, Rachael Ryan (Anthony), Brittany Tewksbury, Chelsea Jones (Garrett), Will Farrow (Holly), Kristy Farrow, Joseph Farrow (Amber) and Jacob Farrow. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Burn Foundation of Central New York in Bruce's memory.
