He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Cheatham and Mae Elizabeth Crans Cheatham; and his siblings, Tom, Mary Jane and Elizabeth.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa McBride of McDonough, David Waterman (Lori) of New Hampton, Mae Cheatham of Warwick, Etta Cheatham of Wurtsboro, Larry Waterman (Joanne) of Circleville and Andrew Waterman of McDonough; his grandchildren, Rachel (Michael), Heather (Brian), Meaghan (Rob), Kaitlyn, Jaidyn, Leah, Hunter, Logan, Liam, Kara, Evelyn and James; and his daughter Trina Blair. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Scotchtown Cemetery.
