She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sheffer and Cecilia Pohl Sheffer; her husband Rev. Henry Palmieri; and her sister Cecilia "Jill" Walrath (John "Jack"). She is survived by: her in-laws, Carl, Cindi Capuano, Madeline LaCasse (Ed) and Santa Capuano; her stepchildren, David Palmieri (Claire), Darlene Kearney (Russ) and Donna Lafean (Robert); her nephew John Walrath; her cousin David Pohl; and her friend Caroline Cooney. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home (39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Stillwater Christian Fellowship, in loving memory of Ellen Palmieri.
