Donna L. MacCowan Obituary
Born December 17, 1944, Donna was a daughter of the late Carl Emery, Sr. and Erma M. (Allis) Emery. Donna was a loving caretaker to family and friends for most of her life. She also worked for S.A. Cook, Fisher Price Toys and lastly in the bakery at Super Duper. Donna loved books and was an avid reader. She loved camping, playing cards, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Betsy M. Brown; brother, Carl Emery, Jr.; sister, Arlene Shirley Jones; and life partner, Philip Tomasso.
Donna adored her granddaughters, Maria Meadows, Samantha Brown both of WV and grandson, Bev Brown, Jr. of TN. She also leaves behind a sister, Peggy Luczak; many nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved and took care of over the years. Particularly, she had a special bond with her nephew and his wife, Ricky and Patty Jones, who took the daily responsibility of caring for her until her passing.
Although she will be sadly missed, the family is grateful for the care she received while residing at Orchard Rehab & Nursing Center.
A graveside committal will be held in Bates Road Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina.
