With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Laird Kenneth McGaughey of Medina, New York, born in Dayton, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Laird may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Laird touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Samuel McGaughey and Hazel Margaret Kelly McGaughey; and his siblings, James Allen McGaughey and Edna Pauline McGaughey Hydock. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Marie Schrader; his children, Derrick Laird McGaughey and Charmayne Renee McGaughey Bloom (Robert William Bloom Jr.); and his granddaughter Chelsey Marie Bloom Beutel (Christopher John Beutel). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
