He was predeceased by : his parents, Freeman Mallard and Dorothy Mallard (Dye); and his siblings, Leonard, Carl Mallard, Bill O'Brien, Alfred Stone, Mary Jane Howard, Betty Wright and Mary Helen Mallard.

He is survived by : his wife Gilda Cardone Mallard; his daughter Amber Conway (Jake Powell); his grandchildren, Brady and Shaelyn Conway; and his brothers, Bobby Mallard (Wanda) and William Gazaway (Shelley).

For those who wish to make a memorial contribution in Thurman's memory, his family appreciates supporting the York Junior Golden Knights, PO Box 75, Retsof, NY 14539, an organization which oversees the extracurricular activities of Thurman's grandchildren, Brady and Shaelyn Conway.
