It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Grace Matthews McDermott of Melville, New York, who passed away on September 2, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Patrick J. Matthews; and her stepsons, Sean and Kevin McDermott. She is survived by: her husband John McDermott; her children, Kathleen Holmes, Eileen Allison, Patrick, Joseph and Thomas Owen Matthews; and her stepdaughter Mary Pizzo.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association Greater NJ Chapter, 23 Vreeland Road, #105, Florham Park, NJ 07932 (alz.org) would be appreciated.
