She was predeceased by : her parents, Rosabelle Stern and Abraham Stern. She is survived by : her husband Barry; her daughters, Erica Lepurage and Dana Harkin (Adam); her grandchildren, Amanda, Becca, Aidan, Nate and Peyton; her siblings, April Stern and Robert Stern (Lesley); and her brother-in-law Jeffrey Lawrence (Judith).

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Association for Children with Down Syndrome (ACDS), a not for profit serving individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities where both Barry & Erica have worked for many years, or to Sunrise Day Camp, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings, an organization important to Dana's family.

“Dear Barry and family, I am so sorry to hear of Marcy's passing. I have very fond memories of her from when she worked at ACDS. I am glad to have had a chance to get to know her.
