“I was sad to learn of Hal's passing. We used to communicate via the Sunday morning CARES net. We got together once and he took me for a ride up to Lake Desolation on his Harley. I live in Massachusetts now and remember a few years ago driving on the Northway and seeing a car with AK2E license plates. Always a gentleman and a family man, he was very proud of his children. .I always looked forward to his visits to the post office, to his warm smile, and story set up and his putting up with my never seeing the punch line coming.
