It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John C. Hoeffner Jr. of Middle Island, New York, born in Port Jefferson, New York, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. and Gloria; his brother Ronald; his nephew Jake (Jillian); his cousins, Mathew Baisley, Doc Spillett and Johnny Boy Spillett; his godmother Joan Della Rocca; his uncles, Johnny Della Rocca and Hassleberger; his aunt Rose; and his cousin Robert Della Rocca.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Hoeffner; his brother Wayne (Joanne); his sisters-in-law, Patricia (Scott) and Dorothy (Fred); his niece Jennifer; his godsons, Timmothy and Michael; his nephews, Chuckie and Ryan; and his cousins, Hoeffners, Theobolds and Licaris.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island (640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at the Yaphank Cemetery.
