He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cushman and Dorothy Cushman. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann; and his children, Jennifer Cushman-Voccia (Carlo Voccia) and Joseph John Cushman, Jr..
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, June 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island (640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953). A prayer was held on Monday, June 15th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:15 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, June 15th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church of Smithtown, N. Y. (280 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787). A burial was held on Monday, June 15th 2026 at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933-1031).
