He is survived by: his wife Carol Thomas; his children, Christopher (Sandra), Michael (Billie Jo) and Jaime Olson (Richard); his grandchildren, Mandy, Kristen, Michael, Colton, Jessie, Richie, Tyler and Haylee; his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Jameson, Bryce, Rippy, Kona, Michaela and Wyatt; and his sister Connie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island (640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953). A reception was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Yaphank Cemetery. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St Jude's children's research hospital or Wounded Warriors project.
