It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Van Houten of Middleburgh, New York, born in Lansing, Michigan, who passed away on November 1, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lee Brown and Margaret Brown (Feeman); her husband Wally; her son Jonathan; and her grandson-in-law Daniel Shultes.

She is survived by : her daughters, Lorelle Van Houten and Kristen Wyckoff (Walt); and her grandchildren, Eamonn Hinchey (Brekke), Marlee Stone (Chris), Trista Shultes and Delana Wyckoff. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.

Sylvia's family requests memorial donations in her honor be given to a local animal shelter or museum of your choice.
