With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert George Koenig of Middleport, New York, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard M. Koenig (Leo) and Edna Koenig (Pawlitz); his siblings, Raymond Koenig (Jean) and Ruth Pelzer (Arthur); and his former life partner Jean Koenig (Newman).
He is survived by : his wife Virginia Laube Koenig; his nieces and nephews, Marcia Ergort (Brian), Lynn Bates (Tiff), Pam Rost (Gary), Karen Buranich (Joe), Sarah Fritton, Bill Feldman, Matthew Fritton (Rita) and Christopher Fritton; and his stepchildren, Jonathan Laube (Kim) and Laura Finney (Doug). He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends that he saw as his family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herb's name can be made to the Middleport Community Choir, Middleport United Methodist Church, or Niagara Hospice.
