With sadness, we share the passing of Carmen Rivera of Middletown, New York. Carmen, born on March 18, 1935, passed away on September 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Carmen for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. Carmen’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences she brought to the world.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Alejandro Rivera Velez; her children, Edith, Catherine, Alex Jr., Anthony and Carmen Marie Jr.; and her parents, Jose Antonio Salva Gonzalez and Maria Simona Arce Bermudez. She was also cherished by 12 great-grandchildren; and one of 19 siblings.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at the George M. Holt Funeral Home (50 New Main St, Haverstraw, NY 10927).
