With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Melanson Sr. (Middletown, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clorice and Georgina Robichaud Melanson; his former wife Cecilia Melanson; and his siblings, Clorice, Oscar Melanson and Yvette Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Melanson; his children, Gerald J. Melanson Jr. (Elizabeth) of Bloomingburg and Paula Wormuth (Steve) of Ellenville; his grandchildren, Kristen Lopez (Jon), Jamie House, Brian Melanson (Krystal Gilbert) and Kaitlyn Fisher (Michael); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Eero, Maverick and Sadie; and his siblings, Clarence Melanson, Romeo Jaillet, Anita Dryden (Raymond) and Rosetta Melanson (Audie).
