He was predeceased by: his parents, Lars Risdal and Vivian Risdal; his wife Sharon Risdal; his grandson James Laurence Bernice; his brother Norman; and his brother-in-law Barry.

He is survived by: his children, Kelly (Mark Bernice), Kevin (Amy Risdal) and Keith Risdal; his grandchildren, Trevor, Tanner Bernice, Danielle, Adison Marciano, Casey and Amanda Risdal; his great grandchildren, Anakin and Colette; his sister Wenda Heaney; his sister-in-law Jean Risdal; and his brother Neal (Susan Risdal). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
