He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Lofrese and Eustachio Lofrese; his wife Colleen; his siblings, Francis Lofrese, Anthony "Dutch" Lofrese and Rosemarie "Babydoll" Shannon; and his children-in-law, Dan Mitnick and Helene Lofrese.
He is survived by: his children, Claire Lofrese of Beacon, Daniel Lofrese of Middletown, April Bickmore of Santa Barbara, California, Laurie Mitnick of Bradenton, Florida, Douglas Lofrese of Hackensack, Louis Lofrese, Jr. (Alexandra) of Danville, California and James Lofrese (Wendy) of New Hampton; his grandchildren, Daniel, Jr. (Camellia), Christopher (Arianna), Jillian, Shea, Mackenzie, Alexandra (Chris Bloome), Nicholas, Joseph, Jacob, Connor and Abigail; and his great grandchildren, Bella, Clara and Rocco.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martinez-Morse Funeral Home (33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY 10940). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (149 Cottage St, Middletown, NY 10940). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
