With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mario Refari of Middletown, New York, born in Rome, New York, whose life came to an end on July 24, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Antonio Raponi (Loreta Patrizi), Maria Raponi (Gino Cianchetti), Filomena Raponi (Carlos Battista), Anita Raponi (Giusseppe Tomassi) and Catherine Raponi (Luigi Valeril); and his wife Josephine Mary Bianchi.
He is survived by: his sister Palma Raponi (Antonio Testa); his daughter Mary Ann Quinn; his son-in-law Robert Quinn; his grandchildren, Christina Cook (Jeffrey Greene) and Jason Almeida; and his great grandchildren, Alex Almeida, Cameron Greene, Clayton Cook, Cyrus Greene and Ceno Mario Greene. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home (130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (149 Cottage St, Middletown, NY 10940). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the St. Joseph's Cemetery (149 Cottage St, Middletown, NY 10940).
