She was predeceased by: her parents, John Zisa and Mary Conti Zisa; and her husband William Nickels. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Calak (Richard) of Westtown, NY, John Nickels (Deirdre) of Bloomingburg, NY and Gary Nickels (Elizabeth) of Clay, NY; her grandchildren, Katherine Calak Matera (Rich Matera), Richard Casey Calak (Nichole Calak), Geoffrey Nickels, Lauren Johnson (Greg), Hannah Lavonas (Tyler) and David Nickels; her great grandchildren, Colton, Caleb, Olivia, Hallie and Mia; her sisters, Dolores Travia of Fairlawn, NJ and Nellie Savino of Henderson, NV; and her sister-in-law Clara Brown of Santa Barbara, CA..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the T. S. Purta Funeral Home (690 County Rd 1, Pine Island, NY 10969). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery (111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY 10924).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Awareness, Breast Cancer Research Foundation or a Food Pantry of one's choice.
