He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Griffin Donovan and Michael Donovan; his wife Ruth Ann Donovan; his grandson Evan Fingeret; and his sister Helen Anzalone.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Vitro (Daniel), Elizabeth Fingeret (Eric) and Michael Donovan; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Matthew, Kyle, Emma, Ben and Lily; and his sister Barbara DeAngelo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home (130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
