He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard M. Swatling Sr. and Olga Nipko Swatling; his wife Loretta Genevick Swatling; his daughter Lisa Ann Swatling Cartino; and his brother Howard M. Swatling Jr..
He is survived by: his sons, Gary P. Swatling (Susan Burns) of Jensen Beach, FL and Mark A. Swatling (Jennifer) of Fallston, MD; his son-in-law Frank Cartino of Syracuse; his siblings, Sandra Swatling Arlund of Lantana, FL, Judith Doten of Stillwater, Sally Doten of Latham, Glenn Swatling of Mechanicville, Jane Swatling Peluso, Leonard, Warren and Jerry Swatling; his grandchildren, Sarah Cartino Bagnall (Russell), Todd Swatling (Joan), Cory Swatling (Megan), Connor, Scott and Clark Swatling; and his great grandchildren, Duke and Stella Swatling.
