He was predeceased by: his parents, John Philip and Mary Ellen Monaghan Heppes; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Vanderlinden (Eugene Sweeney), Gladys (Herbert Ziesche), Barbara Heppes, Ellen (Edward Heppes) and Dorothy Heppes (Warren Heppes).
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Sweeney (Kay); his sons, Joseph (Sharon), John P. (Francine) of Otisville, Eugene (Sharon) of Highland Mills, Paul (Deborah) of Goshen and Robert (Sherri) of Pine Bush; his grandchildren, Arielle, John Jr., Laura, Grace, Sarah, Benjamin, Brenna, Connor, Sean, Caitlin, Clare and Katherine; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Braelynn and Blake; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Strommer, Mary Sweeney, Pat Traphagen and Eileen Ward. He is also survived by his family, friends.
