He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rivera; his children, Betsy Rivera Melendez (Robert Merino Carrasco), Brenda Liz Rivera Melendez, Elba Rivera Melendez (Juan Ortiz Garcia), Iesa Rivera Stokes (Jahmel Stokes), Christina Rivera, Tanairi Rivera Burton (Herman Burton), Carlos Rivera Melendez (Kathy Rivera), Martin Flores (Tara Flores), James Flores, Joseph Calderon and Ruben Rivera Jr. (Abigail Rivera); and his siblings, Conchita Rivera Posadas (David Posadas), Isabel Rivera and Manuel Rivera. He is also survived by his 35 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
