She is survived by: her mother Nellie Quesada (Aponte); her husband Gerard Martin; her son Anthony Rivera; her stepsons, Stephen Martin and Brandon Martin (Jazmyn); her grandchildren, Miles, Brandon Jr. and Aria; and her sisters, Julie (Sergio), Mary (Kenneth) and JoAnne (Reimundo). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Susan's memory to the local humane society — a cause close to her heart.
