He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Banks and Charlotte Banks (Bozdech); his stepfather Clarence Springstead; his siblings, Deborah Conklin, Billie Jean Quimby and Dale Conklin; and his stepsister Debra Ann Springstead.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Conklin; his children, Bill Conklin III (Morgan), Zach Conklin (Melissa) and Mackenzie Bogart (Chris); his stepdaughters, Alexa Steinberg (Brian) and Nicole Steinberg; and his siblings, Pat Shaw, Lillian Hager and Dirck Conklin.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Bill's name to Make A Wish a foundation that was close to his heart.
