He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cloghessy and Valarie Cloghessy (Klein). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Kathy Granados, Patrick Cloghessy (Anne), Erin Frantz (Ray), Maureen DeLuca (Dave) and John Cloghessy (Arielle); his grandchildren, Kara, Addison, Timmy, Luke, Sean, David Jr., Lily, Summer, Abbie, Valarie, Victoria, Joey and Rylee; and his siblings, Mark Cloghessy (Sharon), Mike Cloghessy (Clare), Kevin Cloghessy (Julie), Colleen Stenslik (Robert) and Florence Anderson (Mike). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
