He was predeceased by: his mother Marlene "Kay" Godden (Fresch). He is survived by: his father James C. Godden (Linda Sawyer); his wife Deborah Godden (Meade); his daughters, Rachel and Jessica Godden; his siblings, Robert Godden (Kathleen), Jeanine Godden (Fred Ferguson) and Samuel Godden-Graham (Marcia); his siblings' children, Laura Alvarado (Christian), Nicole Shrum (Kendall) and Zachery Meade (Chloe); and his pet Lila Mae.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson Funeral Home (11 W Albany St, Oswego, NY 13126). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oswego Alliance Church (371 Thompson Rd, Oswego, NY 13126).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rich's name to Hospice of CNY, 990 7th North St, Liverpool, or Peaceful Remedies, 41 Lake St., Oswego.
