He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hess and Clara Hess of Syracuse, NY.. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Robert, Deborah, David, Roger, Mona and Joseph; and his children-in-law, Oralia, Judy, Kelly and Rocco. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel (6530 Schepps Corners Rd, Minoa, NY 13116). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
