We are sad to announce that, on April 11, 2026, at the age of 97, Joseph E. Birnbaum of Monroe, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman B. Birnbaum and Sally Birnbaum (Steinhauser); his wife Joan M. Birnbaum; and his siblings, Richard, Rudy, Al and Beverly.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Koslow (Bruce) of Paramus, NJ, Janice Kiviat (Marc) of Monroe, NY and Rich Birnbaum (JoDi Weiss) of Manhattan; his grandchildren, Matthew (Olivia), Michael (Ashley), Bernie (Reena), Ben (Niki), Freddie (Deborah) and Max; and his great grandchild Phoebe.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County, specifically, the Birnbaum Family Endowment Fund.
