It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara McDermott of Montgomery, New York, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her father Juan Manuel Montenegro; her daughter Katherine Andrea Rendon of Hopewell Junction, NY; her significant other Curtis McDermott of Montgomery, NY; her mother Mother Sophia Atehortua of Colombia; her siblings, Juan Carlos Montenegro (Yomaira Calderon) of Colombia and Angela Patricia Montenegro (Fernando Leiva) of Colombia; her aunt Nubia Pulido; her grandchildren, Damien, Amara, Maddox, Sage, Hazel and Forrest; her father-in-law Kenneth McDermott of Newburgh, NY; and her stepdaughters, Lacey McDermott of Arizona and Breanna McDermott of Gardiner, NY. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
