He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Nokland. He is survived by: his children, Laura Anne Roemmelt (John), John Nokland (Cynthia), Joanne Vella (Chris), Raymond Nokland and Stephen Nokland; his grandchildren, Rachel Roemmelt, Megan Roemmelt, Christopher John Vella, Sarah Vella, Andrew Vella, James Vella, Isabelle Shiner (Will), Abigail Nokland, Connor Nokland and Caidyn Nokland; and his siblings, Olav Arnar, Helge, Tone and Annlaug. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Overhiser Funeral Home (78 Union St, Montgomery, NY 12549). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mary Church (89 Union St, Montgomery, NY 12549).
