It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Lee Dawson of Monticello, New York, born in Bay Minette, Alabama, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Robert E. Dawson; his wife Julia Mae Dawson; and his sister Agatha Dawson. He is survived by : his mother Mattie L. Gandy Dawson of Syracuse; his children, Robert Dawson (Cymanda Dugan) of Concord, NC, Justin Dawson (Latisha McRae) of Middletown, NY, Julian Dawson (Jeanette Margillo) of Monticello, NY, Miecha Stergis (Alonzo) of Monticello, NY, Sheina Ducksworth-Wilkins (Broadus) of Clinton Township, MI and Alicia Hintz Wright (Lawrence) of Scranton, PA.; and his sister Clara Fore-Bonner of Syracuse. He is also survived by 16 beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
