It is with sadness that the passing of Robert A. Velten of Monticello, New York is shared. Robert, born on March 13, 1940, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Robert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Robert by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Robert is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Robert’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Velten and Hildegard Wenske Velten. He is survived by: his wife Maureen E. Velten; his daughters, Julie B. Velten and Lisa Peters; and his brother Ronald Velten (Deena Cline Kohler). He is also survived by several cousins and many special close friends.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home (388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701). A burial was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 1:45 PM at the Temple Sholom Cemetery (5 Dillon Rd, Monticello, NY 12701).
