She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Ralph "Skip" and Margarita Ramirez Hayes; her brothers, Jesse Hayes and Jeffrey Hayes; her nephew Zachary Hayes; her husband Kirk D. Smith; her daughter Margarita; her son-in-law Joshua Jelliff of Soldotna, AK; and her grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Anita, Gunner and Blaze.
She is survived by: her siblings, John Hayes of Watkins Glen, NY and Christina Inman (James) of Lansing, NY; her nieces, Nicole Bauman (Christopher) of Indianapolis, IN and Jeuillie Hayes of Montour Falls, NY; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Hayes of Montour Falls, NY, Judy Smith of Tioga, PA, Rick Smith (Amy) and Harry Smith (Tina). She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Odessa-Catherine United Methodist Church (305 Church St, Odessa, NY 14869). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Odessa Catharine United Methodist Church (305 Church St, Odessa, NY 14869).
