It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Hayes of Montrose, New York, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carey and Laura Carey (Cusimano); her husband Bill; her son Michael; her sister June; and her brother-in-law Dan.
She is survived by: her daughter Maureen Trautmann; her children-in-law, Ed and Julie; her grandchildren, Erin, Kaci, Allison, Lindsay (Kevin), Michael (Sharon) and Christopher; her great grandchildren, Katelyn, Shelby (Hunter), Madison (Joe), Angelina (Marvin), Nickolas, Mason, Hudson, Owen, Brogan, Patrick, Jackson, Nicholas and Matthew; her great great grandchildren, Sophia, Annabelle, Alora, Adelyn, Nova, Lucille, Raiden, Brixton and Evelyn; her sister Ida Cassidy; her niece Sharon Cassidy; and her nephews, Dan (Beth), Kevin and Jim Cassidy. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews and their children.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edward F Carter Funeral Home (170 Kings Ferry Rd, Montrose, NY 10548). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
