It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn M. Gonyo of Mooers, New York, born in Plattsburgh, New York, who passed away on September 6, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Lavoie and Antonine Lavoie (Mailloux); her husband Arnold Gonyo; her children, Linda Gonyo-Horne and Thomas Gonyo; her pet Marnie; and her siblings-in-law, Charles, Earl, Harry Gonyo, Leeward Monette, Gerald Bushey, Margaret Monette, Irene Bushey, Shirley Gonyo and Patricia Wood.

She is survived by : her children, Brenda Chevalier (David), Debra Winters (Jeff), Julie Blondo (Scott) and Timothy Gonyo (Stacie Brooks); her sister Theresa Hinerth (Noel); her siblings-in-law, Gerald Gonyo and Bonnie Gonyo; and her son-in-law Michael Horne. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mooers Free Library or Mooers-Champlain EMS in memory of Evelyn.
