He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Albert and Marion Hawksby (Forkey); his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Osborne Gordon; his brother Robert Hawksby; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Roberts and Alfred Rundle.

He is survived by : his wife Myrtle Mae Minckler of Edmund's Church; his children, Kent Hawksby (Tracey Garceau), Kendra Hawksby and Krystal Hawksby (Matt Applebaum); his granddaughter Katie Hawksby (Garrett West); his sister Janet Roberts; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Hawksby and Patricia Rundle.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Funeral Home - Mooers (793 Gilbert Rd, Mooers, NY 12958).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mooers Volunteer Fire Department.
