He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Alvich and Joseph Alvich; and his parents-in-law, Martha and Rex Gates. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Sue; his brother James (Bonnie); his children, Jason (Jackie) and Jennifer; his sister-in-law Pat LeMay (Dennis); his niece Stacie DePonti (Matt); his sister-in-law Patricia Keller (Barry); his sibling's children, Tanya (Bobby Harvey), Tammy (Dan Gabriel) and Michael Coletta (Nicky); his brother-in-law Rev. Thomas Gates (Linda); and his sibling's children, Danny (Kathy), Shelly (Henry Schrock) and Holly Gates.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Perkins Funeral Home (55 W Main St, Dryden, NY 13053). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
