We announce the death of Bernie Whitacre (Morris, New York), who passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 79. Bernie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Bernie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Whitacre and Clara Whitacre (Hull); and his sister-in-law Linda Whitacre. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Slentz; his sons, Jason Whitacre and Jonathan Whitacre; his brother Ernest Whitacre (family: Margaret); his nephew Trevor; and his daughter Carrie. He is also survived by his family, friends.
