He was predeceased by : his father Cesar E. Gutierrez Sr.; and his significant other Thomas Langtry. He is survived by : his mother Ofelia Gutierrez (Rodriguez); and his sisters, Lucinda "Lucy" Colby (Glen) of Morristown, Maria Bussius (Lee) of Fayetteville, NC, Maria Krol (William) of Stratford, CT, Patricia Carmelo of Raeford, NC and Maria Ritter (Richard) of Westport, CT.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
