We announce the death of Scott Edward Richter of Mount Marion, New York, who passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 51. Scott will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Richter and Barbara Richter; his brother Wayne Richter; his great-uncle Jack Richter; his nephew William Richter; and his grandmother Helen Havey.
He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Chubb; his son Thomas Scott Richter; and his siblings, William Richter (Billy) of Kingston, Shirley Walker of Lake Hill, Linda Maragodakis of Shokan and Remson.
Expressions of sympathy may be made as a contribution to establish a college fund for Thomas Richter in care of Kelly Mazzuca.
