He was predeceased by: his mother Azalea I. Miller; his brother Edwin "Eddy" Carvin; his nephew Edwin Carvin, Jr.; his in-laws, Douglas and Thelma Decker; his aunts and uncles, Francis and Virginia Curry; his stepfather Leon Miller; his grandmother Elizabeth Miller; his uncle Charles; and his aunts, Pauline, Carrie, Betty and Rosemary.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Carvin; his daughter Danielle Knapp (Jacob); his former wife Kathryn Carvin; his children, Christy and Jonathan Carvin (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ethan Finch (Lilly), Mia Freudenmann, Chance Carvin and Kinsie Carvin of Johnathan; his great grandchild Ezekiel "Eze" Finch; his siblings, Emma McMullen (Tom), Lois Sturiale (John) and William Carvin (Phyllis); and his brother-in-law Ron Decker (Carrie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
