He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Pierson and Irene Derry Pierson; his aunts, Mary and Jane; and his siblings, Allen Derry and Mary Edith Velardi.
He is survived by: his significant other Nancy; his children, Roger (Kathleen) of Canmore, Alberta and Rebecca Finley (Bryan) of Northfield, MN; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Hannah (Nathan Sedgewick), Alexander (Kristy), Paul Finley (Karissa), Matthew Finley, Benjamin Finley (Megan) and Christine O'Brien (Kevin). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ontario County Park (6475 Gannett Hill Park Dr, Naples, NY 14512).
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, National Nature Conservancy, or the Ontario Pathways.
