He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Eccleston and Dora Watts Eccleston; and his siblings, Emily, Kathy and Ron.

He is survived by : his children, Bart Clark (Kimberly Archibald) of Otego, Brandon Clark (Monica) of Edmeston, Dallas "Boss Hogg" Eccleston (Tabitha) of West Edmeston, Darryl Eccleston (Cait Kinch) of New Berlin, Jennifer Clark of Edmeston, Tanya Eccleston (Dustin Coveny) of Edmeston and Santana Hoppe (Joseph); his sisters, Lila Christian and Mel George (Fayne); and his friends, Tim Lidell and Dale Barton. He is also survived by several "granddaughter"(s) and "grandson"(s), a great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in honor of George to the Pittsfield Fire Department.
