It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Serra of New City, New York, born in Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anella Mautone and Carmine Mautone; her sister Alfie; and her brother-in-law Joey Gallinato (Nicholas). She is survived by: her children, Michael (Patricia), Carmine (Denise), Adrienne (Michael) and Christopher (Nancy). She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc. (321 S Main St, New City, NY 10956). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Church (118 S Main St, New City, NY 10956). A burial was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery (36 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954).
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Anna's name to the New City Library.
