She was predeceased by: her parents, George Richards and Ruth Richards (Smith); her husband Martin Shephard; her daughter-in-law Janice Brunette; and her siblings, Marion Jones (Harry), Norma Clark, Evelyn Edwards (Melville), Doris Thomas (Ronald), Shirley Kelly and George Richards.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Shephard, Carol Bennett (William) and Randy Shephard (Donna); her grandchildren, Collin Seyler (Jim), Brynley Wilcox (Brad), Abriel Lantz (Scott), Jennifer Bennett, Michael Shephard, Bryan Shephard (Christina) and Amie Wood; her great grandchildren, Fiona, Olyvia, Aiden, Landon, Hannah, Clara, Shawn, Evan, Andrew and Lucie; her sister Esther McCarthy (William); and her brother-in-law James Kelly. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
