Born on April 28, 1950, Nancy was the daughter of Stanley and Mildred (Ciszek) Drabina. She was a graduate of SUNY Morrisville and Syracuse University.

On August 22, 1987, Nancy married Franklin Baylis at the Messiah United Church of Christ, Washington Mills, with Reverend Leslie Hobbs officiating. They shared over 38 wonderful years.

She spent most of her working career helping customers at JoAnn Fabrics and later in the accounting department with Mohawk Data Sciences, where she met Franklin.

Nancy was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother. A longtime member of the New Hartford Senior Citizens Center, she truly enjoyed the friendships and activities it brought into her life. She loved traveling with her husband to visit family and treasured the time spent together. Nancy and Franklin were familiar faces on the tracks of the Adirondack Scenic Railroad as car hosts, creating many fond memories and friendships along the way. Nancy volunteered with the Board of Elections in New Hartford. She was a devoted Buffalo Bills and NASCAR fan.

Surviving besides her beloved husband, Franklin are step-children, Jeffrey (Billie Jo) and Steven (Megan), both of PA; six grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Timothy Lott, NH; sister-in-law, Nancy (Robert) Gerry, CT; nephews, Justin (Heather) and Christopher Lott; great nephew, Nathan, all of NH; and friend, Patty Stalnaker, Little Falls, who she partnered with in their business, Friendship Knits.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica.
